Doctor using smartphone to communicate with patients

TSAOG Featured in Modern Healthcare

The San Antonio Orthopaedic Group was featured in a recent article in Modern Healthcare magazine which highlighted technology used to reduce costs and improve patient access to healthcare.

Among other healthcare technology, the article spotlighted benefits of the athenaCommunicator Mobile Patient Portal, available to our patients, through interviews with TSAOG patient Deborah Bolster and TSAOG sports medicine specialist Dr. Christian Balldin.

Bolster likes that she can send messages to her physician through the patient portal, keeping him more aware of her progress than if they only communicated at scheduled appointments.

According to Dr. Balldin, “Every single day I get messages from my patients. Having a mobile tool to communicate with a patient and get feedback is instrumental in providing good care for that patient. I wish 100% of my patients would do stuff online. I really do think it improves patient care.
